About Us
The aims of Shopster are two fold.
Firstly, we want to provide information and make it easier for UK shoppers, many of whom are new to the internet, to find online shops that can provide them with a wide variety of goods.
The advantages of shopping online include huge time savings, and cannot be ignored in a modern world, where time is precious and many people work full time.
There are monetary savings to be made when you shop online - online shops often have lower overheads than their High Street equivalents and can thus offer more competitive prices. Also when you shop online, you save money on travel including petrol, bus and train fares and car parking charges.
Secondly, we want to provide a low cost and in many cases free way of allowing online shops to advertise on the internet. Online advertising in the form of banner ads and cost per click can be more than some smaller businesses can afford. In fact, all online businesses, provided they meet certain criteria (see here for criteria), can be listed on Shopster in exchange for displaying a Shopster banner on their site.
